Final Exam MP3

Up to this point, you’ve created pieces of a social media marketing plan for a variety of businesses.  For the first part of your final exam (50%), you will prepare a social media marketing plan for the The Shore Scoop located in Red Bank.  You can find their website here

The Shore Scoop has a website (which could use some help).  They are on Facebook and have reviews on Yelp but that's it.

With regard to the plan, you must choose what the goals are, what platforms will be used, how you will measure success, and what problems you might face.  Answer the following questions as part of your plan:

  • What are you doing?
  • Where are you doing it?
  • Why are you doing it?
  • What will success look like?
  • What potential pitfalls might you encounter?

The timeframe for your plan is 6 months starting May 1st.  There are a number of formats you may use (see examples below and those created by students in the past).  I leave it up to you to determine which format you will use!  However, your written proposal must be created in word using Cambria 11 pt. type with 1″ margins all around and a printed and electronic copy provided to your instructor.  Make sure you organize the plan with headings and subheadings, and don’t forget page numbers! If your plan has color, you must print in Room 145 before the deadline.
The rubric for this portion of the exam can be found here.
The due date is Monday, April 7th. Don’t send me an email on Sunday about how you won’t get it done.  Plan accordingly; you have almost a week including a weekend!  I will provide review information for the written portion of the final on Tuesday, April 9th.

Below are sites that you may find useful.  Also, refer to everything provided to you in this class as well any information you find on the web.  You're final blog post will also be about this project.  It will be written 6 months into the future where you discuss the success (or failure) of your plan for this company.
